After this traumatic event, the family is responsible for cleaning up the blood and removing all traces left at the scene. However, despite being an emergency, it should not and cannot be performed by the victim's family or friends, not only because it is a traumatic situation but also because the area is considered a biological hazard, where those who perform the cleaning are at risk of contracting serious illnesses and infections.
